Cruise Through Hamburg - Discover, Dine & Relax

We had a WONDERFUL experience on the harbor cruise. Our guide was fun and entertaining (even if we don't speak German). He gave us the QR code to read up on the sites in our home language (English) and we toured more sites than we originally thought. The reception person at the check in site was also very kind, helpful and directed us on where we needed to be. Would absolutely take this cruise again and highly recommend it to others traveling.

Comprehensive tour, with a lot of interesting information. The captain was very good, offering a lot of insights and details about the itinerary.

We enjoyed the walk around the big container ships in the port of Hamburg. The coffee, the clean toilets on board, the outdoor space and the possibility of moving around on the boat were all pluses. On the other hand, we didn't even get to the very beginning of the canals of the old town, even though we had a two-hour cruise planned. This was very frustrating, especially as we hadn't been warned. The German guide was apparently friendly and competent, but he spoke too loudly for the audio guide's English comments (and only English, long live our European partner!) to be audible, which was a pity for us.

The tour was fine and the experience optimal. One note: we assumed that it included a section of Speicherstadt. This was not the case. We were mainly in the harbor. Speichterstadt we saw via the hopon-hopoff bus tour. In short we did not get what we had hoped for....

Captain had a good sense of humor and obviously knowledgeable as he talked alot. Unfortunately we presumed it had audio assistance. And even though we said we spoke English no one mentioned that the tour was a spoken one all in German so didn't understand any of it. 🤣 would've been nice to have been offered an English speaking one, but our fault for booking the wrong tour

The trip was overall okay, but, unfortunately, I had booked a cruise with english descritption of the landscape but it was only possible in german and with no headphones.

It is a good way to see Hamburg from a different perspective. We attended on a relatively mild and sunny day, which allowed us to take our seats on the outside terrace of the ship, from which we were able to take some very nice photographs. Contrary to the description, we were not given any audio guides in languages other than German, but since this was not our first visit to the city, it was fine anyway. Good experience, I would recommend it.

The night navigation of the port area is very impressive, impressive cargo ships! I found the stay in the industrial zone a bit too long. Overall a good experience!

The round was probably standard. The crew made it an experience. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. But the highlight was definitely our "tour guide". It was information and entertainment at its best. Or was there also some sailor's yarn involved???? 🤔😉😊

Speakers slightly too loud

The lights tour with a trip through the Speicherstadt took place WITHOUT the Speicherstadt. The reason given was the flood. Certainly correct, but then the question arises as to why this is offered if it cannot take place. The organizer can check in advance whether it is high tide or not. As a customer, this should not be my job.

As the supervisor of a small youth group, I didn't realize when I booked that it was already dark at that time. One thing to criticize is that there was a poor connection at the rear, more loudspeakers in the rear area would be an advantage. Otherwise everything was fine.

The boat tour was very good. The bus tour was not, the bus runs too infrequently. You don't get any information about the individual stops beforehand regarding boarding, the audio guide was not informative enough. Individually rated full points for the boat tour, no points for the bus

Went through the city of Hamburg to all major sites.

The experience was very good and the boat trip as well, well did not expect such a fancy boat ride.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to tell us a lot about the Elbphilharmonie. It was very hot in Hamburg on July 2. He felt us 90% in shady places where you could stand it. It was really very interesting and it is worth visiting the Elbphilharmonie even without a concert.

We had a super nice tour guide who was very considerate of my husband who has difficulty walking.

Only after another email request did I receive the tickets for the harbor tour and the meeting point for the guided tour of the Philharmonie! It really disrupted my stay in Hamburg and caused stress and relationship trouble

We had the guided tour to the Elphi with Klaus on 03.03.2025. There were only four of us with another couple. We learned a lot about the Elphi and Klaus had many more tips for our stay in Hamburg. It was great fun. We hope that many more visitors to the Elphi will be guided just as well by the very likeable Klaus. A big thank you to him. We also enjoyed the subsequent harbor tour. The captain was very relaxed with his jokes. The day was absolutely to our taste. Thank you very much.

The Elfi tour with Klaus was very pleasant and informative. The harbor tour was impressive and the "chatter" on the Hamburg was entertaining.

The ticket could not be redeemed. It was invalid for the Elbphilharmonie tour!!! Had to buy tickets for an additional 40.-€. Harbor tour was invalid!!! A friendly employee of the shipping company got me a ticket based on the booking number.

The tour with KLAUS was very interesting and entertaining, the building great and the city of Hamburg as a whole a beautiful city!

Nachdem wir endlich die richtige E-Mail mit Startpunkt, etc. vom Veranstalter erhalten haben, war die Tour sehr kurzweilig, mit viel Wissensübermittlung über die Elphi, dem Hafen bzw. Hamburg insgesamt eine rundum gelungene Sache. -> Gundula 100 Punkte! Auch die Hafenrundfahrt war super!

Der Tourguide auf der Rainer Abicht (So 19.03.33, 17.15 h) war sehr fachkundig und hat Sachinformationen kombiniert mit lokalen Hintergrundinformationen kommunikativ-unterhaltsam perfekt an den Mann/die Frau gebracht. Grosses Kompliment! Grüsse aus Zürich

Die Führung von Klaus war informativ und humorvoll, wir fühlten uns gut aufgehoben und haben viel gelernt. Die Hafenrundfahrt bei schönstem Wetter und sehr lustiger Führung können wir ebenfalls empfehlen. Das Vorbeifahren an den Riesenpötten war sehr beeindruckend.

Die Ausführungen waren unterhaltsam und informativ. Der Guide hat eine Falschbuchung des Datums unsererseits schnell und unkompliziert berichtigen können. Danke dafür.

Interessante Führung. Sympathischer, hilsbereiter Guide. Es fehlten die Informationen zur Hafenrundfahrt, wie zum Beispiel Name des Anbieters und Angaben zur Landungsbrücken.

Die Elbphilharmonie-Führung durch die sehr nette Reiseleiterin Susanna war sehr informativ, interessant und unterhaltsam. Dass keine Besichtigung der Konzertsääle möglich war, war natürlich schade, aber Sie hatte darauf ja hingewiesen. Die Hafenrundfahrt war ebenfalls interessant und lohnend. Das Auffinden des richtigen Schiffs hat sich allerdings als sehr schwierig erwiesen. In den Unterlagen (Voucher) stand kein Hinweis, auf welcher Landungsbrücke wir uns einfinden sollten. Wir haben auch nach langem Suchen kein Schild gefunden auf dem "Headout" oder "Adventure World Tours" stand, so dass wir viel rumlaufen und uns durchfragen mussten, was insgesamt ca. 45 Minuten gedauert hat. Selbst der Chef - Herr Abicht - der extra kommen musste, kannte weder Headout noch Adventure World Tours". Er hat versucht, die Angelegenheit telefonisch zu klären, was aber nicht geklappt hat. Er hat uns dann dennoch freundlicherweise auf das Schiff gelassen und die Angelegenheit dann später geklärt. Fazit: die beiden Veranstaltungen selbst waren völlig in Ordnung, aber der organisatorische Ablauf müsste noch verbessert werden.

We didn't have an audioguide, even though it was specified that we would have one when we bought our tickets online. As the guide's comments were only in German, we didn't understand them.

Very nice except for the fact of booking on the site with the promise of an audioguide which does not exist in fact. It's a lie. At the company office, they just tell me it's a mistake on the website and that they can't do anything. Prüsse Kapitan Company. This is not normal.

The tour was fun, but we didn't get to enjoy the explanations. Contrary to what was indicated, there was no audio guide in French. We had chosen the company because it said there was a French audio guide. We had to download a QR application, but unfortunately the explanations didn't follow the tour and were in English. What's more, there was a lot of noise in the boat, so we couldn't hear the audio guide very well, and when we put it into play mode, we couldn't read in English and look at the sites at the same time. It took a while to find our way around, but the boat was moving along ..... It wasn't pleasant at all. We had no explanation at all..... so the price was very high!

The Alsterschifffahrt referred to the question (and reference to the ticket) with which ship we can go on a completely overcrowded barge, in the booking was specified a "passenger ship". As the hop-on tour was planned afterwards, there was no boat trip, so we paid €78 for the hop-on tour by bus.

Headout is a bad platform. You should receive the tickets by email instead trying to explain the operators that you have a tour already payed.

The whole package was outstanding! I liked the Alster tour best.

It was an enriching experience, the stops have enough time to know the background and history of them, the only bad thing is that they do not put who are the operators of the boat tours, I had to call the company to find out which were the places where I had to board.

The experience was very disappointing because of the challenges with the language. We booked this ticket since it was mentioned that English language was included in the guided tour. The guide did not utter a single english word. Atleast we could have got an audio guide, which also was not there. We felt cheated for the money paid.

Bought tickets, tour was overbooked and we couldn't join. Start time 1:15pm Meeting time 1:00pm 1:03pm they tell that the ship was already gone

Nothing. Waste of time and money. Tour boat in delapidated condition. Uncomfortable benches. Cigarette smoke from open air section at rear and diesel engine fumes permeated forward into closed cabin. Tour only in German (no English). Tour did not go to Speicherstadt district as advertised, only main harbor.

The guide communicated his extensive knowledge very cheerfully, so that it was very entertaining to listen. He was very keen to take a personal approach.

We really enjoyed the tour through the harbor and the Speicherstadt. Captain Markus gave us a lot of interesting information in an amusing and entertaining way. Beautiful and comprehensive tour of Hamburg's old and modern port. Good guide.

I explicitely chose this trip because of the audio guide in English. There was NO AUDIO GUIDE provided. The guide then said, that he would speak German, because "you know, there are german people here". He meant this as a joke, but I did not find it funny. He repeated a small percentage of the information in English during the tour. At the end of the tour the crew requested tip agressively, stating how much they want per person, and pushed the dish in which they collected the money to people's face during the disambarkation. Fully unacceptable.

The river cruise was great, a complete tour of the best areas of Hamburg. As a point of improvement to point out that in the reservation it is indicated that there are audio guides in several languages, but once on the boat no one offered them, and the experience would be great to be able to understand the explanations of the captain.

As everyone said in the comments, it's not at all clear where the meeting place is. You could assume that you have to wait on the pontoon by the 'get your guide' flags and that the captain will pick you up (you don't really need to be 30 min before). No one gave us the audio guide in English. I had to interrupt the guide in his explanations for him to tell me (in a not very courteous way, as if it was obvious) that we had to download an application. You could put explanations on the tables with a QR code. But I suppose that's for people who book directly with 'get your guide'. Incidentally, this audio guide isn't very extensive and seemed much less than the German guide's commentary.

Need english audio guide. We specificly bought it for that. But it was not available or introduced in any way.

No one was at the listed meeting point by Überseebrucke. Luckily, we found the ship on our own in time, but the information given was incorrect. Also, the staff made no effort to provide the audio guide for non-German speakers. They immediately began the tour in German and I was not given instructions for how to access English audio until I asked - about halfway through the tour. Aside from these logistic issues, the tour itself was nice.

There was no marked meeting point for this tour, we showed up 25 minutes early and no one was there. We had to ask inside a shop. English audio guide was offered, we were pointed to the boat by the captain and there was no opportunity to get information about audio guide as we tried to get seats for our family together. The boat was very worn down. There were toilets on board, however no other amenities. No options for drinkable water. Overall we saw the harbour, but had to google what we were looking at and wished we would have booked a different company. The tour was also late arriving back. This was hugely overpriced and not recommended for English speaking folks.
